The HeartWeb Community And Forum Rules
HeartWeb is a free online UK discussion forum and community website for people affected by heart conditions. It is your space where you can talk to others affected by heart disease, share experiences, find information and provide support to each other.
We want HeartWeb to be a safe, secure and, most of all, a helpful environment for all of our community so please abide by the rules of the house whenever posting on the HeartWeb forum or contacting HeartWeb members.
The forum and community will be closely monitored and moderated but if you are ever concerned about any posts on HeartWeb or want to report abuse please let us know immediately by using the "contact us" button you will find on every page.
Please remember that by using this site you are agreeing to follow our terms and conditions as well as these 10 rules.
The 10 Golden Rules Of HeartWeb
1: Enjoy
The first golden rule here at HeartWeb is to enjoy your experience, chat, discuss, debate, argue, agree, disagree, question, answer or just comment but make time for a smile or two.
2: Respect Each Other
Please be respectful of and considerate to other users when using HeartWeb. We understand and respect that you may have strong feelings about issues discussed on the site, but we will not tolerate insults or personal attacks on other users – views, opinions and beliefs often differ - to disagree with someone is expected but please express yourself respectfully and with consideration.
3: Watch Your Language
Please do not use swear words, images or videos that could be considered obscene, abusive, vulgar, hateful, threatening or defamatory. Discriminate on the grounds of race, sex, age, religion, ethnic origin or any other basis against any other people will not be tolerated nor will any form of threatening behaviour.
4: Keep To The Topic
We ask that conversations are kept on topic and to please check that you have posted in the right topic category. Any posts that are completely unrelated to a discussion may be removed. If you feel that a new topic category is required then please contact us with your suggestion.
5: Think Before You Post
HeartWeb is a public forum published on the world wide web, don’t forget that it’s not just registered users who can read your posts it is anyone in the world! The words you post may be available online for all to read for a very long time therefore please think carefully and check before you post as it is easy to be misunderstood.
6: Be As Accurate As Possible
The whole intention of HeartWeb is for you to share information and experiences with other users. Many people may trust what you write so please do your very best to make sure that any information you post and share is accurate.
7: Don’t Advertise
We do not permit people to advertise, promote or try to sell anything on HeartWeb. We will remove from the forum any posts that we consider to be advertisements.
8: Don’t Divulge Personal Information
It is suggested, for your own personal security, that you do not share any of your personal details on the forum, including personal phone numbers, or your home address ... stay safe.
9: Moderation Policy
We don’t want to remove content or posts nor do we want to ban any registered users of HeartWeb but we will take these actions, whenever necessary, to ensure we keep HeartWeb the safe, friendly, respectful, helpful and trusted environment that it is intended to be.
For this reason HeartWeb will be policed by our team of moderators to deter inappropriate content and remove offending material.
Please contact us if you spot any post that may cause offence before we do.
10: Enjoy
The last golden rule here at HeartWeb is the same as the first rule ... to enjoy your experience, chat, discuss, debate, argue, agree, disagree, question, answer or just comment but make time for a smile or two.
THANK YOU
